• Blooper: On Lancaster and Collin-Davison's first week on the job as permanent co-hosts, the two shot a lengthy recipe segment on sticky buns, which completely fell apart when it came time to do the tasting. Surprisingly the whole thing was left in and aired as-is, and it actually did much to endear viewers to the show's new format without Kimball. (The segment appeared in the 20th Anniversary "Best 20 Recipes" special, based on viewer polling, due almost entirely to this blooper.)
• In Name Only: There's a video game for the Nintendo DS. It's actually a sequel to an unrelated game called Personal Trainer: Cooking. All it has in common with the show is the title.
• The Pete Best: America's Test Kitchen had three test cooks in the original cast. Two of them, Julia Collin(-Davison) and Bridget Lancaster, have remained with the show to the present day and have even replaced Christopher Kimball as co-hosts after his departure. The third? Kay Rentschler, who left after the first season.
