• Creator Backlash: Alice was Kir Bulychev's most popular series but far from his personal favorite. He hinted several times that it was tedious for him to write one Alice book after another while the Great Gusliar stories that he loved got rejected in advance (as he quotes his editors: "Bring something non-gusliarish…").
