• Author Phobia: The issues parodying the Covid outbreak are heavily influenced by Bunker's fears, some reasonable (the deaths of many elderlies to the virus), others less so (Covid being an artificial plague made to depopulate Europe and America to let the africans move in).
• Creative Differences: Eventually, Magnus stopped drawing for the series after issue 75 because he felt doing the same character over and over again would be counterproductive for him and so he and Max Bunker parted ways.
• Creator's Favorite: After her standard appearence as a cast member, Minuette is this for Bunker, who often dismiss all her detractors as "obtuse mysogynists" regardless of their reasons for not liking her.
• Milestone Celebration: Issues 50, 100, 150 and so on tend to have unique stories, sometimes giving a climax to a previous saga (as in issues 200 and 300).
• Money, Dear Boy: When asked why he doesn't want to have anyone adapt Alan Ford into a movie, he gave two simple reasons: the second one is that he fears they could change his characters for the worst and Executive Meddling. The first and primay one is that "they won't give me enough money". Also, he claimed that the increased price of paper could have pushed him to start publishing Alan Ford exclusively on order and at a bigger price.
