• Real-Life Relative: Earlier in the series, an older John Garrett was played by Bill Paxton. Since he appears here some 30 years before his first appearence, the character is played by Paxton's son James, who at 26 is roughly the same age Garrett would have been in 1983 (since Bill was in his mid-50s during his run on the show).
