  • Creator Backlash: The original Action Button website and all the reviews on it. Even though it's archived, Tim strongly recommends and prefers that no one read any of the reviews on the site, as most of them were just him and other writers being contrarians toward popular games for attention.
  • Troubled Production: The Cyberpunk 2077 review got caught up in a messy bit of this, being delayed several times from a combination of, amongst other things, Tim getting seriously ill from an infection of flesh-eating bacteria and his video editing software, Adobe Premiere, repeatedly breaking down from technical problems. After much struggle and delay, Tim was finally able to upload a final version of the review to YouTube, upon which the processing of the video eventually stalled to a halt, most likely due to its size, necessitating its spilt into several parts. Many fans remarked with some dark amusement that quite a few aspects of the review's Troubled Production seemed to mirror the Cyberpunk game's own infamously Troubled Production.
  • Written-In Infirmity:
    • Tim was sick with COVID-19 while he worked on the Doom video, and as a result he was in self-isolation. He acknowledges in the video in question how it probably colored the content of it quite a bit.
    • During the marking of the Cyberpunk 2077 review, Tim got a tonsil infection that developed into a rather nasty sepsis infection, putting him in a situation where the doctor examining him asked him to stay overnight at the hospital for observation, because he feared that there were a very real risk that the infection could, as a side effect, cause blood clots and induce a fatal stroke. In the review, Tim discusses how the whole thing made him reflect on his mortality as he put the video together and that some of it probably made it into the script.
