Trivia / A Super Mario Thing

• Development Hell: A Second Mario Thing was in this for a long time before being cancelled.
• Dummied Out: Technically, the Yellow Submarines in the original ASMT (some appear in actual levels in the prequel). See "Unique Enemy" below.
• Promoted Fanboy: Roo525, whose character designs for raocow (as well as the designs for his house) in fan videos were used in ASMBXT, with credit.
  • Also a case of Ascended Fanon.
  • Inverted; raocow helped out designing some levels in the game.
• Sequel Gap: A nearly 10-year gap between the release of A2XT's first and second episodes.
• Vaporware: A Second Mario Thing eventually turned into this. A large part of the game is completed, but with its cancellation, it'll probably never be put together into a finished product.
• What Could Have Been: Before A2MT was lost to Development Hell, the Talkhaus actually had a storyline involving Demo's siblings and the universe's Big Bad. This was later worked into A2MBXT.
• Word of Dante/Word of Saint Paul: raocow has gone on record that anything said about Demo and the siblings in Talkhaus' Make a Good Level contests^*Which are largely unrelated to ASMT except for the overlap in level creators is canon.
