  • Acting for Two: In addition to voicing Baker Bob, Ben Whitehead filled in for Peter Sallis in a handful of Wallace's lines.
  • Non-Singing Voice: Sally Lindsey is Piella, but Sarah Laborde is credited as "Bake-O-Lite Singer". Also Timeshifted Actor, since Piella was the Bake-O-Lite Girl a long time ago.
  • The Other Darrin:
    • In the Latin American Spanish dub, Mariano Chiesa becomes the third voice actor to play Wallace, after Alfredo Sandoval and Alejandro Villeli.
    • In the Japanese dub, Wallace was voiced by the late Masahiko Tsugawa instead of his regular voice actor, Kinichi Hagimoto. This was done at the request of then-Studio Ghibli producer Toshio Suzuki.
  • Refitted for Sequel: Gromit preparing to toss the bomb over the Yorkshire border is a gag that first originated in several deleted scenes from The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, where it was shown to be the spot Wallace and Gromit dumped off all the rabbits they caught.
  • Sequel Gap: Putting The Curse of the Were-Rabbit aside, this is the first Wallace and Gromit short film in 13 years, with the last short film being A Close Shave back in 1995.
  • Two Voices, One Character: While Peter Sallis returned to voice Wallace in most scenes, some of them had Ben Whitehead filling in.
  • Working Title: The project started life as Trouble At' Mill before the title was changed during production.
  • You Sound Familiar: Baker Bob is voiced by Ben Whitehead, who previously voiced Mr. Leaching in The Curse of the Were-Rabbit.
