- Executive Meddling: The characters of Bob and Cookie were written out of the series in 1991,at the insistence of the Seven Network,because market research showed that the show needed to attract younger viewers. Creator and Executive Producer, James Davern later said that he should have fought harder to keep them as they were missed by viewers.
