Go To

  • Adored by the Network: As this is a TNT production, it's guaranteed to be aired on the channel several times throughout every December.
  • Playing Against Type: Richard E. Grant, best-known for playing sleazy or villainous characters, plays the completely likable and sympathetic Bob Cratchit.
  • Role Reprise: Liz Smith, who played Mrs. Dilber in A Christmas Carol (1984), plays her here as well. Although it's the Same Character, But Different, since in that version Mrs. Dilber is the brash charwoman who steals Scrooge's bed curtains and blankets, while here she's a quiet, slightly senile laundress who just steals some linens and silverware, and the brash curtain- and blanket-stealing charwoman is Mrs. Riggs, played by Elizabeth Spriggs.
