- Dawson Casting: The main cast play the high school-aged versions of their characters, despite being much too old. Jericho Rosales, the lead, was pushing forty when he played teenage Bob Ong.
- Repurposed Pop Song: "Tuloy Pa Rin," a hit by '80s Filipino band Neocolours, was remade for the film. The roster of singers who covered this remake were practically the Avengers of mid-2010s OPM.
