The official chronology of the two book series. The most up-to-date version is taken from the appendix at the end of The Defender.
- 2054 - The formation of the United Space Forces (USF) by the leading nations of the planet.
- May 14, 2088 - The official date of the start of the Invasion; a Bino Faata starship encounters the cruiser Lark near Jupiter's orbit and destroys it.
- June 3, 2088 - the Battle of the Martian Orbit, during which a part of the United Space Forces Third Fleet is annihilated (the flotilla under Admiral Timokhin's command).
- June 7, 2088 - The landing of the Faata starship in the Antarctic and its destruction.
- September 22, 2088 - The birth of Paul Richard Corcoran (2088-2167); birthplace - USF Lunar Base.
- 2095 - The first interstellar expedition that reaches the planets of Alpha Centauri via a jump through Limbo.
- 2096 - The First Contact with the Lo'ona Aeo; a ship controlled by their Servs lands on Pluto. Humanity receives the gift of the Daskin Portolan, a map of the galaxy.
- 2097 - The construction of the Lo'ona Aeo base on Pluto (a recruiting center) and the embassy complex on Luna. The beginning of the recruitment of human mercenaries, which are transferred to the planets of the Blue Zone.
- 2099 - The Lo'ona Aeo terminate their contract with the Dromi, their former Defenders. Initial clashes between the human mercenaries and the Dromi.
- 2095-2122 - The exploration of space within thirty parsecs of the Solar System, the establishment of a number of colonies at the nearby stars. The beginning of humanity's interstellar expansion.
- 2125 - Operation Retaliatory Strike. A flotilla of human cruisers under the command of Commodore Vrba reaches the Bino Faata colony worlds at the edge of the Void, in the Beta and Gamma Malleus systems (Ro'on, T'har, Aezat) and forces the Faata out. Corcoran participates in the expedition as the captain of the frigate Commodore Litvin.
- 2134-2152 - The First Void War, during which Commodore, and then Admiral Paul Corcoran commands the Frontier Fleet, defending Earth's distant colonies.
- 2100-2150 - Earth receives information about several galactic races and their Sectors of Influence (Haptors, Kni'lina, etc.). In some cases, this data is provided by the Lo'ona Aeo Servs, in others, it is a result of accidental contacts between human and alien ships on long-distance expeditions.
- 2164-2182 - The Second Void War.
- 2167 - Corcoran dies in battle, while defending Ro'on and T'har's star system. Admiral Venturi takes over as commander of the Frontier Fleet.
- 2182-2185 - The construction and the commissioning of the Embassy Domes near the USF Lunar Base.
- 2201-2240 - The Third Void War, the longest and the bloodiest of all. Sometimes referred to as the Forty Year War.
- 2234 - The birth of Sergey Valdez (2234-2318), Corcoran's great-grandson, who inherits his mental gift.
- 2253-2261 - The Fourth Void War. Ends with the utter defeat of the Bino Faata. Valdez spends eight years fighting the war, going from an ensign to a commander, the second pilot of the cruiser Rome.
- 2262 - The Lo'ona Aeo begin to recruit the human veterans, retired after the end of the Fourth War. The fight with the Dromi grows more active and aggressive. Valdez, a veteran of the Fourth Void War, serves as a mercenary on Danwait (the Blue Zone of the Lo'ona Aeo sector) from 2262 until 2266.
- 2266 - A large-scale operation at the edge of the Lo'ona Aeo sector (Danwait, Blue Zone), which results in the mercenaries retaking one of the space citadels captured by the Dromi.
- 2274-2305 - A period of the first armed clashes between the Earth Federation and the Dromi Empire.
- 2284 - The Valdezes have a son named Mark on T'har (2284-2456). They have a daughter named Kseniya four years later on the same planet.
- 2290 - Olaf Peter Carlos Trevelyan-Krasnogortsev (2290-2382) is born on Earth (Cornwall, England), who later receives the nickname "Komandor".
- 2306-2452 - The wars with the Dromi, lasting almost a century and a half, and the first armed clashes with the Haptors and the Kni'lina.
- 2308-2310 - The occupation of the Beta and Gamma Malleus systems by a Dromi fleet, a guerrilla war on T'har. Mark Valdez and the Komandor participate in the liberation of T'har.
- 2311 - The Dissenter College and the Arbiters of Justice Institute are formed in the Earth Federation. Four centuries later, this structure serves as the initiator of the creation of FDAC (Foundation for the Development of Alien Cultures).
- 2312 - The birth of Pavel Trevelyan-Krasnogortsev, the son of Kseniya Valdez and the Komandor, who is an ancestor of Ivar Trevelyan.
- 2318 - The death of Admiral Valdez and his wife Inga Valdez aboard the cruiser Ural, while repulsing the Dromi assault on Danwait (the Battle of the Blue Zone).
- 2319 - Mark Valdez becomes an Arbiter of Justice.
- 2352 - Operation Gates of the Galaxy, with participation of Mark Valdez and the Komandor.
- 2382 - The death of the Komandor aboard the cruiser Pallas in battle with the Dromi at Betelgeuse. The Komandor's personality is implanted into a memory crystal.
- 2574-2578 - The Five Year War with the Haptors.
- 2600-2603 - The first diplomatic mission to the Haptor homeworld.
- 2693-2705 - The war with the Kni'lina (specifically, with the Ni Clan).
- 2701 - The Tago Massacre, an event during the war with the Kni'lina, when their garrison on the planet Tago is completely wiped out by human marines.
- 2726 - The creation of the Foundation for the Development of Alien Cultures (FDAC).
- 2726-2755 - The development of the FDAC working principles, the creation of the Kinnison Theory, the organization of the FDAC Academy and the process of education, the first attempts at accelerating the development of alien races.
- 2797 - The first contact with the Teruxi. Their homeworld Dingana-P'how is discovered by the Star Fleet frigates Moonlight and Sunflame, while surveying the volume of space near the Beta and Gamma Malleus systems.
- 2831 - The first contact with the Paraprims. Takes place on Osier, one of the inhabited worlds patronized by FDAC.
- 2842 - The first contact with the Nil'hazi. Their ship appears at Gondwana, which nearly leads to an armed conflict.
- 2800-2950 - The era of peace, the time of Ivar Trevelyan.
