"It's time to meet the Krew!"

The Starland Krew are a group of Funny Animals who are the mascots of Parkdean Resorts holiday parks in the UK.

For the animated movies, see here.

Come and add some tropes, we are the Starland Krew!

  • Accent Slip-Up: In a live show, Naarky (pretending to have a Spanish accent as part of his acting role) gets excited at a blueberry pie and yells the following?
Naarky: (normal) Mind ya, did- did you say... a blueberry pie? Uh...um... (Spanish accent) I mean, did you say... bluuueberry piiieee?
  • Agony of the Feet: Twice in "Sparky's lucky bunny story" first when Sparky stubs his toe on something which he doesn't mention then, Sparky tries to pet a black cat, the cat scratches his foot causing Sparky to leap around in agony.
    • There's also one in "Sid's sandcastle story"when Naarky tries to kick the Rainbow fryer, he ends up kicking his own foot, making him leap in agony.
  • Animal Species Accent: Sid is a seagull who has a high-pitched rasp in his voice, just like a seagull's squawk. Sparky also has a high-pitched voice, as he's a rabbit. Sparkle doesn't, despite being a rabbit like Sparky, as she's female.
  • Animate Inanimate Object: Andy, the Scottish prize box who belongs to the Krew.
  • Amazing Technicolor Wildlife: Sparkle is a rabbit with pink fur and Naarky is a blue-furred aardvark.
  • Black Comedy: In "Sparky and the Bandit", Naarky (as a bandit) threatens to to make Malador skunk sundae when Malador asks if he's being freed.
  • Butt Sticker: Sparky pulls out Giddy the horse (from the same short as above) which Giddy ends up butt first on Sparky.
  • Catchphrase: "Squilliant!"for Sparky.
  • Expository Theme Tune: The Starland Krew's theme tune is basically about themselves, and saying how good a holiday (vacation) can be.
  • Fake Interactivity: The shows are full of these, right boys and girls? **beat** They are!
  • Fake Nationality: In live show adaptions of "Sparky and the Bandit", Sparky and Sparkle ditch their British accents for American ones, and Naarky ditches his British accent for a Spanish one.
  • Funny Animal: The main gang, except the bats and Giddy in the short films.
  • Furry Confusion: In "Sparky and the Bandit" ( a short film that came out before the Starland Krew were formed), Sparky and Sparkle team up with a horse called Giddy, who walks on four legs, yet still talks like a human.
    • A coloring page released in 2020 has Sid ( a seagull) with normal seagulls, who don't look anything like him.
  • Furry Reminder: Sparky is a rabbit so there's an obvious reason for him to love a certain orange vegetable. Sid has also said he likes to pick chips out of the bin, and have worms on his chips as well. Sid's laughs also sound a like seagull (particularly Herring gull) squawking.
  • He's Okay: Naarky falls over in one of the live shows, only to be alright and just say he's hurt his backside.
  • I Am Not Weasel: Naarky. He's meant to be an aardvark, but looks 100% more like a dog or a rat. He is mistaken for a bunny in a Sparky's Krew short film, in which he quotes he is not a bunny.
  • Incorrect Animal Noise: Naarky is an aardvark who shouts "BLEH" when he is disgusted by something. Aardvarks don't actually say this, as they grunt in real life.
  • Interspecies Romance: Sid and Sparkle have a crush on each other, however Sparky and Sparkle is fairly more popular.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Naarky. He may act mischievous but always acts nice after he's blown his cover. He helps out in two of the Sparky's Krew shorts as well.
  • Kid-Appeal Character: Basically every member of the krew, except Naarky... who still gets attention.
  • Not Evil, Just Misunderstood: Naarky. He says he's misunderstood during his character song.
  • Pun: The Starland Krew have heck-loads of puns, keep in mind Sid and Sparky joke about a lot.
  • Spoken Word in Music: Sparky speaks most of his singing lines. However he does sing though! Also implies to Andy, in Starland Krazy with only one line which he speaks.
  • Theme Tune Roll Call: This is in the theme song.
Sid: Surfboard Stan Sid rides the waves!
Sparkle: Wanna have a selfie? Look Sparkle's way!
Naarky: Naarky's the name, smelling rotten's my game!
Lizzy: Keep it fit with Lizzy! You can do the same!
Sparky: S-P-A-R-K and Y, looking for a fixer, I'm your guy!
  • Title Theme Tune: The gang's name is said around a lot in the main theme tune. However, this isn't used for Storytime.
  • Toothy Bird: Sid in the animated music video for "What Krew are You?", a lot. However, he is unlikely to have teeth in the CGI pictures of him.
  • Tuft of Head Fur: Sparky and Sid have tufts of fur and feathers (respectively) on their heads.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Naarky loves anything with blueberries in it.
  • Variations on a Theme Song: Beginning in 2023, the main Krew theme song, which is played at the end of the show, has its melody recycled for the Storytime shows.
  • Verbal Tic: Sometimes Naarky rolls his "r"'s, but this is occasionally to sound more interesting. Sid also likes to laugh a lot usually after he tells jokes, and his laughs sound like a seagull's call. Also counts as a Furry Reminder.
  • You Don't Look Like You: Sid and Lizzy were redesigned when they joined Sparky's Krew Club (currently Starland Krew).
