Ghouls and evil things everywhere! (1995 description)
Horrorwood from 1994 was the very first scarezone of Universal Studios' Halloween Horror Nights. The zone, which was located in Hollywood Boulevard, featured roaming groups of scareactors such as The Chainsaw Drill Team, The Lizzie Borden Band and Axe Corps, and The Monks in the Hood. It returned the following year with the same content, but under the name Horrorwood Blvd.
This scarezone provided examples of:
- Chainsaw Good: The reoccurring Chainsaw Drill Team made their first appearance in this scarezone.
- One-Word Title: During the first year.
- Weapon Specialization: As you might expect from the name, The Lizzie Borden Band and Axe Corps featured a group of women carrying axes.
