DC Extended Universe

  • Suicide Squad has a stinger, in which Amanda Waller is seen negotiating protection with Bruce Wayne in exchange for the files about metahumans she possesses. She implies that she knows Bruce is Batman, and Bruce tells her to shut down her Task Force X project in return, or else his friends will.
  • Wonder Woman (2017) had a stinger added to later releases that was not present in the theatrical release. Etta Candy recruits Diana's surviving WWI teammates Charlie, Sameer, and Chief to retrieve a device that will later be known as a Mother Box. They ask why they should follow her, and she kicks the ass of an angry bar patron who tried to attack Charlie. Impressed, they agree to follow her.
  • Justice League (2017) has a mid-credits scene and a post-credits scene. The first one is a light-hearted moment involving the Flash and a resurrected Superman having a friendly race. The second is a Sequel Hook: Lex Luthor, having escaped prison, approaches Deathstroke with the idea of forming "a league of our own."
  • Aquaman (2018) has a mid-credits scene that shows David Kane/Black Manta had survived his battle with Aquaman. Some fishermen find him floating on the sea barely conscious and rescue him. While he is recovering from his injuries, Dr. Stephen Shin, a man obsessed with proving Atlantis is real, approaches him and says he knows Kane's equipment is from Atlantis, and asks where it is. Kane says he'll tell him if he helps him find and kill Aquaman.
  • SHAZAM! (2019) has a mid-credits scene that shows Dr. Sivana in jail and the caterpillar- like creature Mr. Mind paying him a visit. It then has a post-credits scene where Shazam and Freddy are doing another super powers test and trying to see if Shazam can communicate with fish, like Aquaman, only for Shazam to think that it's stupid.
  • Birds of Prey (2020): Parodied when after the credits, Harley's voice asks the audience what they are still doing there. She decides to tell them a secret about Batman, only to be cut off mid-sentence.
  • Wonder Woman 1984: After the credits, the legendary Amazon, Asteria, whom Diana thought was dead, appears and saves a girl from a falling pillar.
  • Zack Snyder's Justice League: A mid-credits scene revises the meeting between Lex Luthor and Deathstroke. Instead of asking to form a league of their own, Luthor tells Deathstroke to eliminate Batman and reveals Batman is Bruce Wayne. The post-credits scene has Bruce Wayne have a nightmare of a Bad Future where Darkseid rules the world and has control over Superman, with Lois Lane, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman dead. Batman has formed a resistance of himself, Cyborg, Flash, Mera, Deathstroke, and reluctantly, the Joker. Joker taunts Batman about all the friends he had lost, but Batman briefly renders him speechless by revealing that when Harley Quinn died, her Last Request was for Batman to kill Joker. Just as Superman finds them, Bruce wakes up and is greeted by the Martian Manhunter, who thanks him for assembling the Justice League and saving the world, then tells him they will be in touch to prepare for Darkseid's invasion.
  • The Suicide Squad:
    • Just after the Close on Title, we see Weasel's body still on the beach from the opening scene, just as he wakes up and wanders off into the jungle.
    • After the credits, Economos is taken to the hospital wing, where it's revealed that Peacemaker survived and Waller had his body recovered for a new mission, setting up the Peacemaker series.
  • Peacemaker (2022): Each episode, after the credits, we get a slightly longer version of a scene from the episode with either a joke added or a longer version of the joke from the original scene. For example, in the first episode, the stinger is an extended version of the scene where Peacemaker's dad is explaining the different helmets to him. In the stinger, he points to the helmet at the end and tells Peacemaker that all it does is give you scabies, much to Peacemaker's confusion.
  • Black Adam (2022): A mid-credits scene has Amanda Waller warn Black Adam not to leave Kahndaq. He boasts that no one on Earth can beat him, so he can do whatever he wants. She says there are people Not of This Earth that will put his boast to the test. Superman — played by Henry Cavill this time — then appears and says they should talk.
  • SHAZAM! Fury of the Gods: A mid-credits scene has Harcourt and Economos invite Shazam to join the Justice Society, only to leave in annoyance when he start brainstorming better names to call their group. A post-credits scene has Dr. Sivana fuming in his jail cell. When Mr. Mind visits, Sivana calls him out for abandoning him for years. Mr. Mind says he still has a plan and leaves him again.
  • The Flash (2023): A post-credits scene has Barry Allen telling a drunk Arthur Curry about his experiences in the film. Afterwards, Arthur tells Barry to leave him in the puddle he's collapsed in and buy more beer. Paid with by a priceless Atlantean ring.
  • Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom: A mid-credits scene has Orm trying a cheeseburger for the first time. A cockroach passes by and he adds it to the burger.
