  • After overcoming his animosity, Batman has a lot of this towards Superman. In Justice League (2017) and Zack Snyder's Justice League, Batman feels as broken up about Superman's death as Lois does, and when he resurrects, Batman is heartbroken when Superman turns on the League. His buying off the bank that foreclosed Ma Kent's farm likewise has the air of a grand romantic gesture. The theatrical version takes it further, seen best when Superman saves the day against Steppenwolf, Batman stares at him with open-mouthed awe and delight. And when Superman snarks that Batman probably didn't bring him back because he liked him, Bruce pouts "I don't not like you".
  • Wonder Woman (2017):
    • When Steve reveals to his crew that he's going to blow up the plane of poison gas, their response is a unanimous Big "NO!" because that means that he'll be on it and won't be able to escape. They look anguished as he makes his way towards the plane, and the only thing they can do is give him cover fire. After traveling through the front and fighting, none of them want to lose Steve. Yet, like Diana, all they can do is watch when he fires that trigger.
    • A rather low-key example is Antiope and her lieutenant Melanippe. The two are almost always shown accompanying each other, and when Antiope dies, Melanippe has a serious Big "NO!" reaction over her body. Given the Amazons' reputation for bisexual/lesbian leanings, it's easy to interpret the two as lovers. (Melanippe is the sister of Antiope and Hippolyta in both myth and DC Canon, but this doesn't seem to be true in the film.)
    • At one point, Etta can't help but comment that Diana is the loveliest looking woman in the world when Steve tries to disguise her with glasses. It's a little derisive towards Steve, but she does look admiring towards the princess's new duds. Not to mention that Diana trusts Etta with her sword, and Etta shows that she can use it to intimidate spies. It helps that Etta is a canonical lesbian in some iterations of Wonder Woman's story.
  • Suicide Squad (2016): It seems Deadshot and Rick Flag spent half their screentime getting up in each other's faces. Culminates in Flag running up to hug Floyd after the latter takes the shot that activates the bomb that wipes out Enchantress and her mooks once and for all, while gushing about how amazing the shot was.
  • Aquaman (2018): Black Manta's obsession over killing Aquaman leans a bit into this, especially as he's crafting his iconic suit to Depeche Mode's "It's No Good" — which is often interpreted as an obsessive love song.
  • Birds of Prey (2020):
    • The interactions between Zsasz and Roman Sionis look like they are a couple. Notably while Roman is locking eyes with Dinah, Zsasz looks like he's a jealous lover. There's nothing to confirm that they really are a thing, with the closest thing to it is Harley calling Zsasz Roman's "BFF".
      • Pictured above, Roman and Zsasz are together the morning after the club scene when Dinah rescues Harley. In pyjamas.
    • Both Harley and Dinah are very appreciative of Huntress. When she rides to Harley's rescue at the end, there could've been hearts in her eyes, especially since Harley (in both comics and this movie) is canonically bisexual.
  • Wonder Woman 1984: Barbara's feelings towards Diana can range from simple adoration to implied attraction, referring to her as beautiful and inviting her to lunch in the awkward manner of a date. She all about gives a Squee! when Diana invites her to an early dinner, especially when the latter rescues her from a drunk. When Steve reappears, Barbara gives him a look that clearly screams Green-Eyed Monster and says, "Call me" to both of them. Even when she kicks Wonder Woman's butt in the White House, Barbara leaves Diana alive if wounded and tells her that she doesn't want to destroy her but will to keep Maxwell as the Dreamstone. Barbara also looks sympathetic in the climax when she realizes Diana renounced her wish to regain her powers, not wanting her friend to be hurt.
