• The idea that Bowser is forced by Fate to kidnap princesses, when he just wanted to be someone normal. When he tries to Screw Destiny, he finds himself having dreams about abducting princesses, scribbling plans for traps and ambushes, no matter how hard he wanted to chase them away. He first claimed to his wife he was writing a book, but she ultimately learned he was lying and when she was made aware of why... she asked for divorce and she took their son. And Bowser was left alone, in spite of having done everything to be good.
  • As he's explaining his business to Twilight, he asks if he can see her Cutie Mark and wistfully comments he would have liked for his special talent to be "something like that". Even if he managed to play the crappy hand he was dealt into a successful multiversal business that brought him fame, wealth and respect, Bowser still wouldn't have willingly picked that if he had been given the choice.
