Even the cute preschooler cartoon starring the cheery yellow mouse/gerbil-like Ridiculously Cute Critter tends to tug at some people's heartstrings.
- Anytime Wubbzy becomes really sad, mainly in "O' Figgity Fig Tree". It's depressing to see this normally carefree critter losing hope and becoming very disheartened. Like always, he gets better, but that doesn't prevent it from being any less sad.
- In the episode Mr. Cool, when Waldennote inadvertently ruins a dance party, everyone there calls him "uncool". This pretty much upsets him and causes him to leave the party hurt. This moment is really heartbreaking, considering how Walden is hardly ever upset.
- Some of the songs in the series can tug at your heartstrings, too.
- Home, for instance, will make you feel down. Especially so when you're far from home.
- The Gift of Joy is an emotionally-written song. However, since it is lesser known, it might not have affected many people.
