Tear Jerker / Wonka

• Unfortunately, if this film takes place within the same continuity as the books and films, then that means Slugworth, Prodnose and Fickelgruber will eventually get their revenge on Wonka by sending spies to steal the secret recipes of his chocolate, which would force Wonka to shut down his factory and become a recluse. This means that his happy ending is ultimately short-lived.
• It becomes apparent that Wonka is illiterate, obviously meaning that he had a very poor upbringing as a child and saw chocolate making as a dream for him.
