• If you manage to get a Belle Killed Off for Real (which is kinda hard), the game's main screen will add a memorial icon.
  • But wait, there's more! If you use the memorial icon, you're treated to a new screen.
  • A somber theme loops while any lost Belles are commemorated with tombstones, a black-and-white image of the Belle, her in-game loss date, and an epithet.
  Nenohi: Last seen helping her crew to the lifeboats.
  Pola: We remember a titan.
  • If the bodycount climbs, the screen adds sideways scrolling to accommodate the player's...ineptitude^note Players may be forced into this due to limited dock space if they do not choose to expand their allotment, so it's not always about poor play.
  • Thankfully, you can't break your game by getting all of your Belles killed since the last member of your fleet won't sink no matter what.^note Yes, some particularly sadistic beta testers made sure of it.
  • Your relationship stat with any Belles in the fleet who watched their comrade die will also decrease.
