• Ed having a heart attack during the exorcism at the beginning of the film. The moment is undercut somewhat by the fact that the real Ed Warren lived until 2006, but it's still sad to see Lorraine and Judy in the hospital, wondering whether he will live or die — and Lorraine's reaction in particular is heartbreaking.
