• Mujari's testimony at the hearing about his past mission as ANC member to rescue mine workers who fell ill to unspecified disease (implied to be Syphon Filter virus).

• Throughout his career as a special agent, Gabe has been betrayed way too many times. His old boss witheld informations from him and fooled him into killing all surviving test subjects and also Rhoemer's scientists in Ukraine to prevent them from testifying. Then after his old boss died, he was replaced with a new guy who didn't try to understand him and immediately sent death squad after death squad to eliminate him because he knew too much. Gabe was even betrayed by one GI soldier who pretended to be helpful only to reveal that he was a snake in the grass. For the last gut punch, Gabe was later also betrayed by Elsa Weissinger in Omega Strain, especially hurtful when it is known Gabe was the only one who was willing to look past her old crimes and give Weissinger a second chance. It is a wonder how Gabe did not snap and turn into a war criminal for real after those damage to his psyche.
• Logan's death at the end of Logan's Shadow. Completely sudden, blunt and unsatisfying. The fact that he was killed just so the franchise could officially end according to the creator makes it more outrageous and depressing for fans of the series that started with the original trilogy on the Playstation.
  • Though less depressing now as an Easter Egg in Days Gone implies that he is still alive.
