• In Trapped in Amber, a technician wants to move several Daleks that he has no means of repairing and who cannot contribute to the fighting into hover transports out of the combat zone, knowing the compound's main gate was heavily damaged and wanting to prevent a slaughter. But the brass has decided there can be no retreat, so the commander has the hover transports wrecked to serve as the gate's replacement. The technician is visibly horrified.
