This series proves that this Yuri story has plenty of things to be sad about in this series.
Episode 01
'The Girl Who Wanted To Be Boring'
- Flum being treated like dead weight by the other members of the party. While it is true she might not be helpful in battle, her attempts to help the party outside of battle appear to be overlooked by everyone else besides possibly Eterna and Gadhio.
- When Jean sold Flum into slavery, he told her that everyone else, including Eterna and Gahdio, were all in favor of this which she believes and is crushed.
'Flum's Blessing in Disguise'
- The other slaves being killed by the ghoul to die miserable deaths simply because the slave merchant decided he would rather entertain himself rather than do something else with them.
'Intermission 1: The Tiny Damaged Cog'
- The other party members reacting to Flum 'returning home'. Their reactions range from being saddened to indifferent.
- Cyrill taking Flum’s departure the worse. She knows she had been treating Flum horribly, and now she believes she is the reason Flum ‘left’ the party.
'This Job'll Be a Cakewalk'
- Milkit reveals her injured face behind the bandages. We learn that a previous master who purchased her used mustard poison on her which has further ruined her self worth issues.

- Ink telling Flum to kill her. Flum breaks down in tears.
Episode 04
- It is sad to learn that Milkit’s parents sold her into slavery after she was born. If that wasn’t bad enough, she was indoctrinated in a slave mindset by the Slave Merchant.
