All good things must come to an end...
  • His return to WCW and reformation of the Horsemen, Nitro September 14, 1998.
[crying] "Thank you....thank you very much. I'm almost embarrassed by the response, but when I see this, I know that the 25 years that I spent trying to make you happy every night of your life was worth every damn minute of it!"
  • Even more bittersweet: Flair closing the curtain on WCW, March 26, 2001.
    • In interviews, he clarified that he's inwardly rejoicing, having finally won his freedom from that absurd company. If he cries this much when he's HAPPY...
  • Flair's final match at WrestleMania 24 against Shawn Michaels, which was topped the very next night on Raw when the entire active WWE roster, several legends (including his old compatriots the Four Horsemen (Arn Anderson, James J Dillon, Tully Blanchard and Barry Windham), old enemies like Ricky Steamboat, and old allies like Greg Valentine), and even The Undertaker and Vince McMahon himself came out to give Flair a send off the likes of which will probably never be duplicated or matched ever again.
Shawn: <preparing the finishing blow> I'm sorry. I love you...
