Tear Jerker / Remember the Titans

• The entirety of the scene after Gerry's accident. Particularly painful moments are Big Julius completely breaking down at the news of Gerry's paralysis, and Mrs. Bertier accepting the news with complete stoicism:
  Mrs. Bertier: Those tears aren't going to make my boy walk again.
• Other painful moments include Julius's Manly Tears as he chokes out: "You can't be hurt like this. You...you're Superman." Then to make it even worse, he has a small monologue about his and Gerry's future, and the latter starts sobbing as he listens. Then you remember that Gerry died ten years after the events of the movie, meaning that the future Julius outlined never happened.

  Julius: When all this is over...you and I, we're gonna move out to the same neighborhood together. And we're gonna get old, and we're gonna get fat...and there ain't gonna be all this black-white between us.

• When Sheryl is spending the night with the Boones, there are funny moments that showcase the contrast between her and Nikki… and then someone throws a brick through the window while making racial slurs. This is terrifying, but the Tear Jerker status is more a case of Fridge Horror: Boone's two daughters (including one who looks about five) immediately know how to react in this situation, running to their mother and, instead of panicking, staying calm and quiet, suggesting that they've been through this several times before. Boone's later words to Yoast confirm this.
  Boone: I'm sorry about what happened to your daughter. I really am. But maybe you got a small taste of what my girls go through. Welcome to my life, Yoast.
• The final scene with Gerry's 1981 funeral. Julius, while holding Mrs. Bertier's hand, sings "Na Na Na Na Hey Hey Hey Goodbye" and the rest of the team joins in.
