Tear Jerker / Quantico

Go To

Cover

  • Sita, Alex's mother, decides to make a public appeal to Alex to turn herself in.

Go

  • Elias having a My God, What Have I Done? moment when he realizes that he ran out on his classmates in Quantico and the bomb in the classroom was a test.
Elias: I threw away a seven-figure, partner-track job for some ridiculous notion that I was meant to serve truth, justice, and all that Superman crap. And then I abandoned it with seconds left to spare... Whatever hang-ups you have about what happened in Gaza, you're a man who saves everyone, and I'm a man who runs from a firecracker. So I should go.

Quantico

  • Caleb shows Shelby the cold, hard truth: the woman who's been claiming to be Shelby's half-sister has been conning her out of her money for 15 years, taking advantage of Shelby's wish to cling to what was to be her closest living relative. He does so by snapping at the woman on how he knows what she's been up to and demands she cut him in for 10 percent. The woman pauses and (dropping her accent) says "five." The camera pulls back to show Shelby on the other side of the computer, breaking down crying at realizing the truth.
  • Simon reveals his true past to everyone when Nimah calls him out on it: During his time in the Israeli Defense Forces, he was given an order by his platoon leader to seduce the wives of men they were looking for into interrogations so they can figure out where their husbands were. It was not until afterward that he found out his platoon leader had gone rogue, and these women were brutally tortured (and possibly killed). The fact that he was not aware of the true nature of his actions affected him deeply, causing him to break down in tears in front of the entire class.

Clear

  • Alex breaks, and breaks hard when Natalie gets blown up by a decoy laptop. What makes it even worse is when the mastermind reveals that he or she is following Alex within a few hundred feet of her.

Clue

  • Shelby tells Alex about her parents who are still actually alive.

Right

  • Alex freaking out while in the car, and Simon calming her down by telling her to trust him and trust that he'd never let her make the same mistake he did earlier in the season.
  • Simon's reaction in the Quantico timeline to Nimah telling him that Raina wasn't going to go with him.

Yes

  • Simon's funeral as well, with special mention having to go to Alex standing above the casket and Raina crying.

Kubark

  • Both Harry and Sebastian have previous experience with suicide, either directly as an attempt or because a close friend did so.

    • Alex waking up from a nightmare about Simon's sacrifice.
    • Nimah telling Shelby that so much had changed between her and Raina, because Nimah was a reminder of the pain of losing the man she loved, that she couldn't help her through the anniversary of his death.
    • Alex, Ryan, Nimah, and Shelby gathering at Simon's grave and Nimah reciting the Mourner's Kaddish.

LNWILT

  • Shelby has a heart to heart with Nimah about how much Nimah's actions in the previous episodes of the season affected her, and tells her that she loves her and that she doesn't have a lot of people that she loves, with Alex and Nimah being it.

MKTOPAZ
