Season 2
- Ruth breaking down after being waterboarded. Seeing her so scared and helpless is disconcerting.
Season 3
- Ben’s breakdown up to his death is nothing short of heartbreaking. The dissolution between Ruth and the Byrds such was the fallout of his death also counts.
- As seen in the flashback, Ben is initially worried that Nelson may have hurt Wendy and threatens him. When Nelson reveals himself to be armed and takes him hostage, he asks Nelson to apologise to Wendy for him and tell her he forgives her.
Season 4
- Ruth hallucinating her dead family peacefully hanging out, even Russ and Cade.
- Ruth's death. After Camila terrifies Clare into ratting her out, she threatens to have Jonah and Charlotte killed if Marty and Wendy speak out. Upon returning home, Marty sits down at the table devastated while Wendy prepares to have a drink.
