Tear Jerker / Not Lives

• After Itomi is defeated by Kyouka and Mikami, and she is about to disappear from the real world soon, she takes a moment to say goodbye to her brother and tell Kyouka to make some friends like she tried to with her. Made more heart-wrenching by how she disappears: by being crumpled into a paper ball and shot into a basketball hoop. She first talked to Kyouka on the basketball court.

• Yukiya Amamiya's story is pretty gut-wrenching in a way. He tried to make his wife happy by winning 'Not Alive' and creating Kyouka as a daughter for her as her condition could not support childbirth, only for her to refuse to see Kyouka as her child and die after giving birth to Mizuki, who also suffers from the same illness as her. In desperation and in an attempt to make amends, Yukiya disappeared from his children's lives, adopted the 'Astaroth' moniker and beat 'Not Alive' again to try to destroy the game, only for him to get captured by the Big Bad. When he finally succeeds in destroying the game, he makes amends to Kyouka before disappearing along with the game.

• While Hasami is generally abusive to Ichirou, her avatar, and continually calls and treats him like a 'dog', by the time they are defeated by Astaroth, and Ichirou is about to disappear, he comforts her, she cries and calls him a 'good and loyal dog', and Ichirou's last act is telling her about a dog he and his sister had when they were young.
