- Audrina's genuine sadness at Vera's death—"Some part of me had always wanted to reach out to Vera and make her my sister". Even after all the terrible things Vera did to her, she can't bring herself to hate her.
- Part of the First and Best Audrina's special gift was the ability to find good in everyone. Now that she's recovered her memories, she's regained that ability; she empathizes with Vera rather than fearing her.
- Arden apologizing to Audrina for all the times he's failed her and begging her for a second chance. Which makes the fact that he continued to be a bastard, as shown in the sequel, even worse.
- Damian comforting the tearful Audrina after finally explaining to her that she's the only one.“Don’t cry, my darling, don’t cry. It’s all over and you’re still the same sweet girl you always were. You’re not changed. Nothing dirty can touch some people. You’re that kind.”
