Tear Jerker / Mahoraba

• Almost at the end of the manga, when all Kozue's personalities had merged and she was cured of her illness, Ryuushi was sad that they had left, as he had come to love them all. Then Kozue made flowers appear in her hands, just like Natsume.
• Poor little Asami lost her dad at early age and only has her step-mom Sayo as family. She knows she's not her biological daughter, but at least they are linked through her dad... and then the hammer drops and Asami overhears she was adopted in the first place, having no biological relation to either of her parents. That alone would've made for a horrifying revelation, but as if that wasn't enough, it's presented as a key argument for why Sayo should abandon Asami and remarry. As far as Asami knows, her mother is learning of it at the same time - learning that the child she's been taking care of in memory of her husband actually has no relation to him - and it's heart-breakingly clear what the poor kid imagines is about to happen. The fact that this moment is immediately followed by Sayo, without missing a beat, responding with essentially "Yeah, so?" is truly cathartic. The wimpy, comically inept, notoriously crying Sayo whom we've seen being essentially raised by her own daughter from the beginning of the series now casually stands up to her overbearing father, suddenly projecting unyielding confidence, because questioning the love she has for Asami is the one thing she won't let you get away with. Her following speech is a phenomenal portrayal of hidden depths and a delightfully immediate answer to poor Asami's fears.
