Tear Jerker / LEGO Marvel Super Heroes

• The fight with Mastermind, in the Statue of Liberty. He takes control of player characters one by one, with a screen in the background showing what he's forcing into their heads. While relatively angst-free Mr. Fantastic just sees himself fighting off a bunch of Skrulls, Wolverine gets to relive the Weapon X experiment, and the Hulk gets to relive his birth as a giant green rage monster.
  Wolverine: No! You can't turn me into a monster! I won't let ya!
• Throughout the game, Thor continually tries to convince Loki to abandon his alliance with Doom by appealing to their brotherhood. The guy just wants his little brother back, but fails to realize how much Loki hates him or how strong Loki’s desire for revenge is. By the end, however, Thor seems to consider his brother Beyond Redemption, since he doesn’t even try to save Loki from getting pulled into the portal with Galactus.
• Gwen Stacy is depicted wearing the iconic green jacket and purple dress outfit that she died in.
• One of Beast’s idle animations has him testing some chemicals on himself, hoping it cures his mutations. At first it seems to work, as his arm starts turning skin-colored…before suddenly flipping through random colors until Beast shakes it back to blue, before smashing the empty beaker in frustration.
