  • Before the beginning of the series, Professor Yamano was on a flight that disappeared out of the blue and presumably left no survivors. Marie and Van haven’t been the same since.
  • Episode 3 to 6 and the beginning arcs are not nice to Kazu.
  • Good news, Ban’s father is alive! Bad news, he’s been moved by the Innovators.
  • Ban and his father finally reunite, but at the moment, all of their allies are caught in Kaidou’s mansion with guards getting ready to be executed and Ban’s team has all lost of their LBX battles. It's also revealed that Rina became The Mole a few episodes before the rescue arc because Kaidou’s been using his governmental occupation to block an important medical treatment system called Optima that could save her sister and countless lives, and Kaidou blackmailed her into joining to get the Seekers in a trap. All of the main characters are appalled at Kaidou’s actions. Worse, the Innovators have taken over the Seekers bases. And many of the spies Lex and Tyler have were killed. Thankfully, Jon manages to free everyone, but the two have to separate for a while.
  • In episode 27, we find out the real reason why Eiji joined the Innovators. His wife and daughter were killed in the Tokio Bridge Incident Collapse and Kaidou approached him after the event, asking him to join the Innovators to help prevent future incidents. Then Eiji himself found out about Kaidou being the true perpetrator of the incident, meaning Eiji worked for the killer of his family the whole time. Damn.
  • Ban finally wins Artemis at the end of the first half of the series, but the Innovators hijacked Jin’s Emperor M2 and created its self destruction without him knowing, have the Red Brigade kill off a ton of cops, use Deqoos to steal the Platinum Capsule, and Yuuya is still hospitalized. To say episode 24 and the finals were a low point is just astonishing.
  • Ban witnessing the death of Takuya's older brother, Yuusuke with his own eyes can also be counted as Nightmare Fuel. While Takuya was also saddened by the lost of his only family member left, Ban was forced to see how cruel this world was, causing him to blame the existence of LBX for what happened to Takuya's older brother.
  • Jin realising that his grandfather is now an android, meaning that his grandfather have already died before he knew about this.
  • Takuya held no grudge against Kirishima for Yuusuke's death despite the latter felt guilt ridden and believe it was only natural if Takuya himself of all people hold hatred towards him. Nope, Takuya did not. In fact, he told and want everyone including himself not to fight with hatred as hatred changes people. That is what Yuusuke teaches him. It is impossible for some of us to not cry when the guilt ridden Kirishima not only was forgiven by Takuya but he was also thanked by Ami and the others for creating reinforced cardboard. This also counts as Heartwarming.
  • Episode 44. Lex lied to Takuya that he and Ban have boarded Eclipse and chooses to commit suicide by exploding with Saturn.

  • Yuuya’s dilemma in episode 26 of W. Otacross points out that Yuuya’s cosplay is just a suit with no body inside, and both the audience and Yuuya realize that the situation was in. His parents are dead, he was raised as a test subject with no internal purpose or emotions, and no anime he could love as a child, and he breaks down. Worse, Alice’s insecurities start to stem because she’s too shy to think she can be of use.
  • Episode 31. Hiro's mother, Haruka was revealed to be working in Future Hope tanker and become heartbroken when she scold him to leave and continue working like nothing happen. If you remembered in episode 4, he was actually living alone and in episode 22, his mother did not even answer his calls. For children to be scold off like that by their parents, it is truly Heart Broken since in Hiro's case, he was literally abandoned by his mother due to her obsession in work.
  • Episode 54. The revelation that Mizel was literally made by Haruka and she realising her sins was quite heavy, really brought her frustrated.

     Danball Senki WARS
  • Episode 34-37 of Wars Season for the following:
—> 1. Reina's father, Eisuke sacrificed himself for ERP to be implemented because he was not willing to sacrifice his daughter despite she was supposed to be.
—> 2. Seledy include poison gases in control pods that activates if players' LB Xs from World Alliance become lost, thus killing them for real. The Prime Minister's son, Rikuya was among them.
—> 3. Gendou's butler, Ayabe was killed by Seledy when the latter deemed that the former betrayed him, with Gendou moping over his death.
—> 4. Rikuya discovered that his father pass away because of heart disease.
