- A little-known PSP game called Jeanne d'Arc involves Jeanne (Aka the Joan of Arc) getting thrown out of the story while her best friend and companion Liane acts as Jeanne's double. Everyone knows what happened to the real Joan of Arc...right? For those who don't, she was burned at the stake for witchcraft by English... obviously this is what happens to Liane and the player actually DOES see her outline burning at the stake right as an horrified Jeanne walks up...
- Liane's story itself is a "Shaggy Dog" Story. She only came with Jeanne because she didn't want to be left behind and were worried she'd be hurt, but Jeanne steadily grows more distant and she watches as Roger constantly gets worse because he's helping her. Then she watches Jeanne seemingly fall to her death, gets convinced to take her place, and eventually she ends up dying in her place as well.
