  • The first half of Steve-O: Demise and Rise, showing how dark Steve-O's life was at the time and how close he was to succumbing to his drug addiction. When Steve-O talks about the impromptu intervention that saved his life, he shows a clip of it, and in one frame, we see a look on Knoxville's face that can only be described as emotional pain. Steve-O says he's seen Knoxville in pain, but claims that that one frame was the most painful look he's seen him give, and it was because of Steve-O's condition.
    • The final message Steve-O gives is the fact that he is not, and likely never will be, cured from the addiction, but will continue to fight those urges every day to avoid reliving his darkest moments again.
  • This video tribute to Ryan Dunn put out by Dickhouse Productions.
  • The entire "Tribute to Ryan Dunn" special is depressing.
Johnny Knoxville: I wish he didn't drive so fast, he always did. I wish he didn't drink that night, too.
    • Earlier from that scene, after the news report discussing Dunn's death, the special cuts to Jeff Tremaine, Knoxville, and a crying Bam at Dunn's grave, whose gravestone bears his smile.
  • This news report on Dunn's death features an interview of Bam at the site of the crash, and seeing him completely inconsolable about his best friend dying is absolutely heartbreaking to watch. It's made worse because Bam was alienated from basically everyone except Dunn at that point, in the middle of divorce, and spiraling into alcoholism. This tipped him over to a point that, over 10 years later, he still hasn't fully recovered from. Although his substance abuse issues started way before Dunn's death, this was the catalyst of a full downward spiral for Bam, with several extremely short rehab stays, dramatic weight gain, interventions with family and friends, and many, many public freakouts and breakdowns, especially on his Instagram. As of September 2019, Bam is still in rehab after being mentored by Dr. Phil; and it remains to be seen if he'll complete the treatment. Bam was also eventually fired from Jackass Forever at some point in 2020 or 2021 for repeatedly failing the sobriety provisions, which he revealed in a drunken and badly hungover rant on Instagram in February of 2021; however, he still appeared in one scene that was shot prior to his firing.
  • Bad Grandpa puts a tribute card to Dunn at the very end of the credits (which most people routinely sit through for Jackass movies due to the Hilarious Outtakes). As noted in the Midnight Screenings review of, this likely opened wounds that were so fresh at the time of the film's release that it resulted in massive Mood Whiplash, ending the film on an uncomfortably somber note.note
  • Jackass Forever also ends with a tribute to Dunn, including a clip of him at the end of the credits, followed by a shot of him with the text "ryan dunn forever". Note the shape of the V in "forever".
  • In his Wild Ride Podcast, Steve-O once stated that, whenever he gets a phone call or text from Johnny Knoxville or his dad, he fears that they'll start acting in a way that is not themselves, in a way of dementia. This is especially the case for Knoxville, given his repeat head trauma, most recently in a scary incident with a bull in Forever. Given that Knoxville admitted he needed to take medication for the first time due to his injuries to his head, Steve-O was entirely justified in worrying for his friend's health.
    • Steve-O also admitted that he didn't feel the fourth film was necessary since he feels that they've already built up a legacy such that there was nothing left to prove. He further stated that he doesn't want any of his friends or himself to end up in a wheelchair, permanently damaged or even killed because of a stupid stunt gone wrong.
