Tear Jerker / Iron Man: Armored Adventures

• The ending of episode 24, "Best Served Cold" will make anyone's heart clench.
• Episode 19 "Technovore", while helping Nick Fury by repairing the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier's engines. Tony discovers that the Living Laser, is dying. What's worse, he also learns that S.H.I.E.L.D. intends to let Arthur die. Without even trying to help him. All do to the fact that Arthur Parks was technically a villain. Tony is furious at Fury's, and by extension S.H.I.E.L.D.'s callousness.
• During "Designed Only For Chaos", while Tony and Arthur are idly talking. Arthur reveals some of his Dark and Troubled Past.
  Arthur: All my life people have stepped on me and called me useless. But you're trying to save my life, why?
  Tony: Because you're not useless, and your life is worth saving.
  Arthur: (genuinely stunned, then grateful) Thank you Tony.
  • Arthur's final moments, though he's resigned himself to die. The man is glad to have had the chance to reconcile with Tony before dying. Though for his part, Tony is left devastated that he couldn't save his former enemy.
  • The episode "Fun With Lasers", hints that many of Arthur's mental issues are due to his verbally abusive mother.
• Near the end of episode 30, "Ghost in the Machine". After Tony's finally caught up to Ghost, he ruthlessly attacks and overpowers Ghost. Just when it looks like Ghost has gotten the upper hand thanks to phasing his hand into Tony's chest, Tony reveals he can cancel Ghost's ability, and that he's willing to do so despite the fact that it would kill him. Tony's almost happy at the idea, stating he now has "nothing left to lose". For his part, it's the only time in the series that the Ghost sounds genuinely frightened, he actually has to talk Tony down to save his hand. Considering Tony seemed to think Ghost had already revealed his secret to two of his worst enemies, his threat to Ghost could very well be interpreted as a suicide attempt.
• The ending of episode 50, "Dragonseed". While we barely knew him. The death of the Makluan guardian was surprisingly heartbreaking.
  • Even worse when the Makluan guardian was a son of the Makluan Overlord and when news of his death reached him, the latter seemed saddened... only to reveal he regretted it should have been him to kill his son for defying him.
