• Chapter 3. Conversation successfully frames Neptune as a messenger of Momus and for the monster attacks in Lastation, and Yvoire poisons Neptune before throwing IF, Neptune and Compa in a cell, leaving both Makers in sheer distraught as they are in a cell, unable to do anything to save their dying friend while IF is stewing in her guilt for forgetting about the poison and begging Vert to save them...which she does..
  • And following the above, when IF and Compa, with Vert's help, obtain the Forest Extract needed to make the antidote for Neptune and return to Vert's room to make it, Vert asks Compa, the one with the most medical knowledge of the whole party, if she can make the antidote. Compa then starts crying saying she isn't the right person to help Neptune before revealing she feels that way because she failed nursing school and thus doesn't feel qualified to handle something of this magnitude. Not only it puts a rather tragic twist on Compa's ditziness, but also makes the scene a lot heavier when you imagine how Compa must have been stewing in her lack of confidence and regret over flunking nursing school...while her close friend is dying and she's unable to stop it...At least until Vert and IF reassure the poor girl that she's not alone in this. And Compa does indeed save the day by making an antidote pudding as a sure-fire way to get her to eat the antidote.
• Everything about Arfoire becomes a major one after The Reveal. She was a Badass Normal helping The Quartet fight the corrupted Old Goddess. After the latter is defeated at the cost of the Quartet's lives, Arfoire copies her power, using it to create Vert, Noire, Blanc and Neptune, raising them with Histoire until the Old Goddess' corruption takes over her, turning her into the present Big Bad. Now imagine that the old Arfoire could very well be aware of what her corrupted self is doing, including turning against her best friend and her 4 foster daughters, unable to do a thing about it.
• The other 3 CPUs' situation before Neptune comes to help them, if one thinks about it. Noire has her land snatched from under her nose by an unscrupulous company that is slowly ruining Lastation for their own benefit, while all she can do is act behind the scenes by her lonesome and her efforts are barely putting a dent in Avenir. Vert has her goddess powers stolen, and to avoid panic within the Basilicom and the people of Leanbox, she's been keeping herself shut in her room. Blanc suffers a coup and is ousted from Lowee with only a few allies by her side, but her efforts aren't amounting to much. It's been bad enough that when Neptune and Vert offer to help her save Lowee, she breaks in tears and outright begs the two of them, who not long ago were her enemies, to save Lowee.
• The ending sequence, which recaps the story's major events right until the final battle, has one particular scene that can tug at a few heartstrings. The final battle recap has Purple Heart and the other CPUs sacrifice themselves to stop True Arfoire. Purple Heart's last words? "Compa...IF...Nepgear...Please take care of Gamindustri..."
