• The gradual distance that grows between Haru and Makoto through the movie. A notable moment in the beginning is Makoto going to visit Haruka's class during lunch, but stops when he sees Haruka among his new classmates (Asahi, Ikuya, and Kisumi). Makoto just stands there, looking lonely (possibly jealous). When Haru looks up and sees him, he looks expectantly at Makoto. But Makoto just smiles, and not a second later his classmate comes and drags him off. Haru then looks down, disappointed that Makoto didn't stay.
