Tear Jerker / Golden Boy

• Naoko's breakdown at the end of Episode 2 when Kintaro, whom she just claimed tried to sexually assault her in front of her father and his goons, admitted he loves her. Barely able to comprehend that Kintaro would still want to protect her after what she did, she starts sobbing exclaiming she lied and begs for Kintaro's forgiveness.
• The whole premise of Episode 3, where a sleazy gangster plans to ruin a good family's livelihood for his own ambitions, and where Noriko is unable to confess her feelings to Kintaro.
  • Noriko breaking down in tears after sharing one last joke with Kintaro.
• Chie also not getting the chance to confess to Kintaro, and choosing not to chase after him with the other girls, with her resolving that they'll see each other again one day.
