Tear Jerker / From Muddy Waters

• Midoriya thinking that his mother is dead and that graduating is the only way to honor her memory.
• Todoroki having zero social skills due to his father's training, that by the age of fifteen he has no idea how to form friendships on his own, and uses TV shows and movies as examples.
• At the start of his internship under Sir Nighteye, Izuku is attacked by Gran Torino, who goes all out in an attempt to force him to reveal that he's All For One's son. Despite Izuku showing no signs of that, passing their Secret Test of Character, and Sir Nighteye's Quirk revealing nothing suspicious, they still consider Izuku as suspicious at best and an outright villain at worst, with Gran Torino even questioning if Bubble Girl would be safe being alone with Izuku.
• In chapter 29, Mirio, Tamaki, and Nejire find Izuku locked in his bathroom weeping after he accidentally revealed his abilities to them, utterly convinced that they'll all turn on him and tell everyone what he is. It takes about half the chapter for them to convince him otherwise.
• Mirio ending his internship with Nighteye, and effectively disowning the man as his mentor, is gut-wrenching, both because of how good their canon-relationship is and because of how much this version of Nighteye clearly deserves it.
• The sheer implication of Inko and Izuku's last name originally being Shimura, and how certain parties will react.
