Since Forfeit is meant to be a dark AU fanfic of where BPS never occurs, it is not that surprising that this fanfiction has a lot of sad scenes where you'd likely are going to need tissues afterwards.
- Ed ends up being responsible for the Kanker sisters' murder in self-defense by killing them. Sadly, he, Double D, and Eddy all get arrested for this crime. Eddy takes the heat of what occurred and is sentenced to death by getting lethal injection. Double D is unable to get a college education because every university or other colleges are unwilling to associate with someone like him due to that trial along with him having a criminal record that had him being in prison for 18 months. As for Ed, he didn't get much of a punishment since it was clear he had zero understanding of what had occurred when he shot the Kankers to death.
- The fact that Eddy is being blackmailed into sex by the Kankers is heartbreaking, since they themselves are seen as the innocent victims by society rather than be condemned for their crimes they've done to the Eds constantly (apparently society sees it as three assholes killing their girlfriends when really, it's just three women who refuse to take the hint that none of these guys are into them and don't care about consent at all and are obviously a bunch of rapists-in-training). It helps that unlike the original source, none of what they do to him is seen as a comedic situation.
