"She was crying. On top of the ruins of the town she couldn't defend..."

Moment Subpages are Spoilers Off. You Have Been Warned.

  • Within the first chapter, the Sky Golems showing up nearly drives Eiden over the Despair Event Horizon, as he was trying so hard to recover from his previous trauma and draw again, only to nearly die because they showed up again by sheer coincidence. He was fortunate Dakini was prepared for the attack and gave him hope again.
    • Dakini breaks down after realizing the blast that hit her also destroyed the building with the flower-like window she took a liking to. Even when Eiden shows her the flowers they drew, it only calms her down very briefly.
    • A small detail that might be overlooked is Eiden's textbook containing a photo of a letter a child sent to their father, hoping they will return home. The book and the previous panel mention it was the only thing that survived the total destruction of the air force brigade the child's father was part of.
  • Poor Prakasha only wanted to study the Thunder Beasts and found from her research and watching Enoth get attacked that they seem to be fighting the Golems. However, when she fails to properly explain why she figures Karacuma is next to the people on the bus she was on, they become frightened and suspicious of her because the stigma against Rare Ones hasn't gone away entirely. Even the girl she met earlier addresses her as 'Rare One' in a way that's clearly meant to be interpreted as though she said 'Variant'.
  • Chapter 8 elaborates on the Buribcus flashback from 6. As it turns out, Eiden had actually been unconsciously drawing the entire time and is horrified once he notices what the picture is. He doesn't want to draw Dakini in any violent action, but his repressed hatred for the Sky Golems had risen to the surface after meeting her. His own anger was what killed his passion for art.
    • Dakini's reaction to seeing the aftermath of her fight with Karura. After a certain point in the fight, she had been so focused on killing the Golem, that she neglected to stop the Straight Thunders from hitting the city. Even worse, the new Golem taunts her over her failure.
  • In Chapter 9, most of Karacuma forms a mob and is blaming Dakini for their town being destroyed. Eiden attempts to Shame The Mob, but since they're so distressed and confused, they won't listen to reason and try to attack her, forcing Kayoh to intervene and stall them so Eiden can escape with Dakini.
