Tear Jerker / Fearless (1993)

• Carla confesses to Max she thinks she's the one who killed Bubble by letting go of him, and Max shows her it wasn't her fault. The fact U2's "When the Streets Have No Name" is playing in the background makes it even more powerful.
• The entire group session with the survivors as they talk about the crash, especially the woman who showed up looking for information about her son who died on the plane, Carla mourning her baby, and a woman discussing how her sister, neice, and nephew (who were sitting across from her) didn't survive.
• During one of the flashbacks as the plane is preparing to make a crash landing, Max's partner uses an Airfone to try and call his wife. He gets their answering machine and the look on his face says it all. It doesn't help that the pilot is making an announcement at the time:

  I'm not going to lie to you. It's going to be rough. Maybe worse than that. Do as the flight attendants tell you, and good luck to us all...

• The flashback to right before the crash shows Max walking down the plane aisle past so many terrified couples, families, and lone travelers, who are all trying to find comfort before the crash one way or another, including people like a mother and her two children who the audience already knows won't survive.
• Poor Laura is overcome with grief to realize that her husband may be a Death Seeker after the accident when she looks at his drawings and then is left trying to resuscitate him after nearly losing him again to an allergic reaction (although that leads to a happy tearjerker when he survives with a new appreciation for life).
