Tear Jerker / Crossed Claws

• Everything involving Ria in Chapter 4. If feeling betrayed by Sandy wasn't enough, she spends most of the chapter conflicted between feeling like she has to kill her new best friend for the sake of the Hollow, and convincing herself that Sandy doesn't deserve to die.
• Near the end of Chapter 5, Sandy, while carrying Ria on her back, encounters one of the Tall Things being crushed under a branch. While an Asshole Victim by this point, complete with it telling Sandy to leave Ria behind and save it instead, Sandy's still broken up by having to choose between her longtime caretakers and her new friend.
