Tear Jerker / Chrestomanci

• The way Christopher's whole life is decided for him after he is revealed to be a nine-lived enchanter. Even though he has his own dreams about how he wants to live his life, he has to let them go because he is forced into a job only he is powerful enough to do. The only saving grace is that he discovers that he actually likes the job, unlike Gabriel De Witt who hated it the entire time he was Chrestomanci.
• Cat idolizes and loves his older sister Gwendolen, who is selfish and snobby and has been using his magic for as long as she's known about it, even though it has resulted in his death at least once. When he realizes this it's understandably heartbreaking for both him and the reader.
