Eventually he had to grow up, and forget his fairies, as all children did eventually...
- The reason Timmy ran away into television: His parents, as always, refuse to believe that Vicky was the one who trashed the house. When his mother points out certain things that he did do (aka watch TV despite being grounded), Timmy has no answer, which leads to Mr. Turner asking why they should believe anything he says. This eventually prompts Timmy to run away into the TV world, especially when remembering his fairies would leave him once he grows old enough to not need them.
- What's worse is, as mentioned before, Vicky's abuse is not Played for Laughs: she puts poor Timmy through hell by trashing his house and framing him for it, severely straining the relationship between the kid and his parents. Then, in one of her biggest Kick the Dog moments yet, she takes a picture of the now in-tears Timmy just for the sake of it. Is it any wonder she's a massive Hate Sink?
- The ending where grown-up Timmy finds an old photo of himself, and the fishbowl...but he can't recognize his fairy godparents, as from his point of view they look like normal fish in the photo. It's more of a bittersweet ending, but you still almost have to hold back tears.
- Timmy's parents' message, which Timmy finds after realizing that his parents are way better than the ones on TV (which were either not around or were complete idiots).
- In a few seconds before this, after Timmy defeats Vicky, instead of being happy, he ends up feeling sad. This is because he realizes his mistakes and that the only reason his adult self was the way he is because his parents raised him right. He then even anticipates his parents killing him. Thankfully, his parents don't.
- Future Timmy disappearing after Vicky zaps his time-traveling belt as young Timmy desperately pleads for him to come back.Timmy: Every time something cool happens in my life — every time — VICKY RUINS IT!
