You know the Care Bears, and their Sugar Bowl world? Well, who knew it could make you cry?
- The song "Forever Young"
from the second movie. It's hard not to get a pang of nostalgia for childhood, and the lyrics seem to be about reuniting with a loved one in the afterlife, free of time and worry. - In "Battle the Freeze Machine", Baby Hugs shedding a single tear after she gets frozen solid by Coldheart.
- In "The Long Lost Care Bears", when Perfect and Polite decide to live in the valley, the heartbroken reaction from Good Luck Bear when he says goodbye to Polite is sad, because he realized he loved her.
- In Welcome To Care A Lot, the episode "Sad About You" where a girl called Joy decided not to have any friends due to one of her pals moving away. Share helped her see that at least they have memories, making this a Heartwarming Moment.
- It doesn't help that this isn't the first time the Bears help a kid who wouldn't make any new friends because of losing just one.
- From the second movie:
- Simply the fact that the Care Bears and Cousins are orphans can come off as this.
- The montage of the Bears and Cousins growing older as the years pass is a bit tearjerking, though it is mostly of the "happy tears" variety.
- Dark Heart's My God, What Have I Done? realization during Christy's Disney Death. Thankfully, Christy does get better.
- Anytime Wonderheart Bear is sad or crying.
- In "The Sleeping Giant", the initially grumpy titular Giant, befriended by Hugs and Tugs, rediscovers the joys of life, shelters the cubs from a tornado, and on exposure to Slumber Flowers, resumes his century of sleep. The cubs' bewildered sorrow at the inactivity of their friend, and encouragement by Tenderheart to cherish his memory, are both poignant and touching.
- It hits harder on those who personally lost a loved one.
- The song "Here I'm a King" from Care Bears: Journey to Joke-A-Lot can easily make people tear up if they've ever had to stay alone from their family and friends. The effect is slightly ruined in the movie, because it gets cut off early.
