Tear Jerker / Brave Police J-Decker

• There are many in the series. Hell, the series starts with Deckerd, who has already known Yuuta for six months, getting his memory re-formatted. Think about what that usually means for a computer, and therefore to a sapient one.

  • The team doesn't handle Deckerd's loss very well. Everyone is on edge and indignant by the seeming indifference of the newly arrived Duke and Regina. Yuuta is particularly despairing.
    • And then, when Deckerd is fully repaired, it's revealed that his memories of Yuuta and the team were lost. Yuuta tries his best to help Deckerd recover them, going so far as to injure himself in process, which convinces Deckerd that it might be best to remove 'all' his memories, though he fights back at the last second.
• Episode 23. Drill Boy finds a friend that he genuinely wants to protect, and she sacrifices herself to save him.
• That very brief moment in episode 29 where it looks like Duke's programming has been erased. Regina's heartbroken sobbing does not help.
• Episode 34 is a doozy. Power Joe thinks he's found the love of his life in the form of a cute nurse robot named Lua... only to have his heart broken when he realizes that she's just an illusion created by a pair of particularly callous programmers. And this is after trying to defend her when he thinks the team is doubting her sentience. Ouch.
