Tear Jerker / Blue Jasmine

• After making a date with Dwight, Jasmine bursts into tears. You get a sense of how thoroughly wrecked she's been by the whole ordeal and how desperate she is to feel loved and secure again.
• Jasmine's breakdown at Hal's declaration that he's leaving her for an 18-year old. It's not helped by his complete lack of remorse and acting like she's the one in the wrong for being upset.
• Jasmine and Danny's scene where he rebuffs her once and for all. All flashbacks show she was a good stepmother to him and she deeply and genuinely regrets the damage she did to him and would do anything to fix it—but she can't and he won't let her even try, simply wanting to focus on his new life.
• Jasmine ends the film without a friend in the world, nowhere to go, broke and having lost her chance to improve her life and ends up on a bench rambling about her wedding plans to Dwight, showing that her mind has completely broken this time.
