You can’t help but feel sorry for Mamuwalde. His backstory is greatly tragic. He and his wife Luva, were sent to Europe to protest a slave trade. They went to Dracula for help. Instead of helping Mamuwalde, Dracula bit him, turned him into a vampire, locked him in a coffin, and let Luva, to die of starvation.
Tina was shot by a police officer while she was running away with Mamuwalde. So Mamuwalde had no choice but to turn her into a vampire.
Dr. Thomas and Lt. Peters staked a vampire Tina, (mistaking for Blacula). Poor Tina. Leading Mamuwalde to commit suicide by going into the sun.
Second Film
All Mamuwalde wants is to be cured of his vampirism and return to his homeland in Africa. So, he sought out Lisa for help. But after Mamuwalde killed a bunch of police officers, she refuse to help him. Mamuwalde accepts being Blacula. Mamuwalde tries to kill Justin, but Lisa stabs to voodoo doll of him to kill Mamuwalde. Meaning Mamuwalde will never return to his homeland. Alas, Poor Villain
