Tear Jerker / Atlantis

• When Pasiphae sentences Ariadne to be executed in the Season 1 finale, a terrified Ariadne looks to her people for help. Not one person steps up to defend her from the queen.
• Orpheus killing Eurydice, then swearing to look for her in the afterlife. We all know how that turns out.
• The Gorgon's Gaze is one of the bleakest episodes of the series, with many tear-jerking moments both In-Universe and out.
  • Seeing the normally determined Jason nearly give up hope is quite distressing, and Jason is brought to tears when he finds himself helpless to save Ariadne.
  • Medusa has been a Death Seeker ever since she killed the Oracle, and she decides to sacrifice herself to stop Pasiphae, requiring Pythagoras to lie to Hercules to help Medusa carry out her plan.
  • Hercules loses Medusa for a second time when she sacrifices herself, and when he finds out what happened he bursts into tears.
  • Ariadne is Forced to Watch as Delmos is tortured and killed, before being tortured herself.
  • Jason finally learns that his Arch-Enemy is also his mother. To make matters worse, this secret was known by several of his friends who wanted to tell Jason the truth but were warned not to, and because they kept it a secret, Jason ended up learning the truth in the worst possible way, at the worst possible time, from the worst possible person.
• From Kin, Aeson gives a passionate speech to try to bring Jason back from the darkness. Aeson describes how he lost Pasiphae and can't bear to lose Jason too, while Jason is wounded and looks dangerously close to giving up on life altogether.
  Aeson: As a woman of Colchis, I knew she had powers mere mortals could never comprehend. But when I realized the source of those powers was darkness, it terrified me. I saw her change. Watched her give in to temptation. She slipped further and further from me and all trace of the woman I had loved was lost. Please, please, I cannot lose you too, Jason. Do not go the same way as her. Turn toward the light. Turn your back on the darkness. In this world, there are many who love you. If I have learned anything, it is that this is the only thing of true worth. Look at me, (Jason looks at him) feel my love. Please, I beg you. (A tear rolls down Jason’s cheek) Oh Jason! (hugging him) I will not abandon you again. I will not leave here without you.
